One Written Number, Seven Trucks, Every Philadelphia Job

Right Way to Moving

Whether it’s a third-floor walk-up in Fishtown or a long haul up I-95 to Boston, the crew that shows up drives a truck we own, cashes a paycheck we cut, and works off a number our office put in writing before moving day ever arrived.

  • Sign off on one number, and that’s the only number that ever shows up
  • Fifteen movers, seven trucks, one payroll — not a single seat subcontracted
  • Dispatching out of Philadelphia itself for 9 years running, licensed the whole time

First Call To Move Day

Here’s How A Right Way to Moving Move Comes Together

1

Tell Us Where And When

Origin ZIP, destination ZIP, a rough move date — that first message doesn’t cost a thing to send.

2

We Come Take Stock

In your living room or over video, we count stairs, measure doorways, and flag any Old City side street too narrow for the truck to sit on.

3

Layer In The Extras

A piano, a safe, a few weeks of storage while a closing slides — mention it now and it gets folded into the same written number.

4

Your Number, On Paper

Whatever we send to your inbox is what you sign the morning the truck backs in — it doesn’t move after that.

5

Crew Shows Up On Time

Our background-checked, W-2 movers arrive in a Right Way truck on the date you locked in, weather or no weather.

Calendar slots across the Delaware Valley are thinning out for this month. Grab a date before the rush hits — our dispatcher is already building each day’s route around Schuylkill Expressway backups and the Penn-Drexel-Temple move-in wave that swamps University City every May and August.

  • One hourly number covers the truck plus the whole crew — nothing itemized separately
  • The truck already carries wrap, dollies, and floor runners before we ring your doorbell
  • Whoever loads your boxes is also who carries them off the truck at the other end
  • Nothing shows up on the bill afterward, anywhere across the Delaware Valley
  • Your whole haul is signed off as one number before a single box gets loaded
  • North gets you to New York, south covers DC and Baltimore, west on the Turnpike reaches Pittsburgh or Charlotte
  • We hold our own DOT and MC authority start to finish — no second carrier picks it up partway
  • A full $1M in cargo coverage rides with the shipment the entire distance
  • Elevator reservations and the certificate of insurance get handled before your building manager even asks
  • Cramped courtyards and narrow Fishtown walk-up stairwells are routine, not a slowdown
  • Our whole calendar is built around the Penn and Drexel lease-turnover crunch every May and August
  • You have the rate in hand well before your actual move-in date
  • Your business hours set the move window, not our shift schedule
  • Every desk, monitor, and file box gets logged and lands on the correct floor
  • A certificate of insurance goes to your building manager before they have to chase us for it
  • Gabriel stays on as the single point of contact from the first walkthrough to the last chair
  • We work at whatever pace feels comfortable, never rushed
  • Family keepsakes get wrapped with real care, because a lot of them can’t be replaced
  • We book assisted-living transitions around Bala Cynwyd and Abington regularly, not as a special favor
  • The number is locked in early so the family can actually budget around it

What Philadelphia Families Told Us Afterward

Unedited, good days and bad days alike — a cross-section of what Delaware Valley customers told us after the truck left.

★★★★★

“The movers were professional, on time and hard workers. They shrink wrapped everything and were really careful with all my furniture. Everything went as planned and they delivered everything in great condition. They did such a great job we gave them lunch on us! If you have any concerns about anything just talk to Dominic she is the owner. I have already recommended two of my friends. Don’t go anywhere else!”

“The team at Right Way to Moving are incredible. I was stressed leading up to my move and as soon as they got to my house I could tell they were pros and I felt at ease. Even with all the stairs involved, they were still able to turn around my entire move in under 4 hours. I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you Curtis and Gabriel!”

The Long-Haul Runs Philadelphia Movers Book Most

A single crew and a single truck carry the load door to door for one written price, running the whole way on our own operating authority — your belongings never pass to another carrier en route.

Why Right Way to Moving Prices This Way

Your Signature Goes On A Number Fixed Long Before Move Day

There’s no meter ticking in the background, no stair or fuel add-on that surfaces later, and mileage is never bolted onto the invoice anywhere in the Delaware Valley — the figure our office writes down ahead of time is the exact figure you sign the morning the truck arrives. And every set of hands loading your boxes is on the Right Way to Moving payroll; none of them were picked up off a day-labor corner that morning.

  • One complete number, committed to paper before the first box is touched
  • Each Right Way to Moving mover cleared a background check and is paid on a W-2, not a day rate
  • A $1M cargo policy travels with every job, whether the run is a Fishtown walk-up or a haul up to Boston

Walkthrough In Person, Or Point A Camera At It

Some customers want an estimator standing in the hallway with a clipboard; others would rather just pan a phone camera around each room on a video call. Either route ends the same way — a written flat number before the visit or the call wraps up, no pressure to sign anything, and no cost unless you actually book the job.

A flat figure hits your inbox the same day, and walking away from it never costs you anything.

Frequently Asked

Answers Before You Ever Pick Up The Phone

Is this a real moving company, or does my information get passed along to someone else?

We’re a real, operating moving company based in Philadelphia, carrying our own Pennsylvania PUC license and US DOT/MC authority for interstate jobs. Your details never leave our office: every truck belongs to us, every mover on it is a Right Way employee, and the crew that quotes your job carries it through to the last box. Nothing gets passed off to another company or sold as a lead.

How is the price actually set?

One of us walks the inventory with you first — porch visit or video call, either way — and a single written number comes back, never an hourly clock and never a surprise charge for stairs, fuel, or mileage anywhere across the Delaware Valley.

Does a winter storm ever shut your moves down?

Rarely. When a January nor’easter is set to drop a foot of snow on I-95 with barely a day’s warning, our crews move the date up rather than push it back, and Dominic takes those weeks himself instead of handing them to somebody else.

Do you handle awkward specialty pieces like a piano or a gun safe?

Regularly. Uprights, baby grands, gun safes, and other oddly shaped heavy items get proper ramps and rigging, and every crew chief on our roster has already brought something just as awkward down a tight Fishtown walk-up staircase without a mark to show for it.

Will you move us out of state?

All the time. I-95 north gets you to New York, south covers DC and Baltimore, and the Turnpike heading west reaches Pittsburgh or continues on toward Charlotte. No matter the direction, the whole relocation comes back as one written number, hauled start to finish under our own authority.

How far ahead should I actually book my date?

Two to three weeks out is the sweet spot — weekends, month-end, and the May/August Penn-Drexel-Temple move-out crunch book up early. Closer than that already? Call anyway; a short-notice opening turns up more often than you’d think.
